A Preliminary Research on Combustion Characteristics of a Novel-Type Scramjet Combustor

In this work, a new configuration of strut-based scramjet is proposed, and series simulations are conducted to investigate its possibility practical application. The simulation results verified via the classical DLR ramjet an experiment on connected pipe facility. inlet area ( A in ) air intake height id="M2"> H combustor varied independently their performance. indicate that flow field shock wave structure such engine reveal similar characteristics as engine, variation in geometry can significantly affect combustion characteristics. Moreover, efficiency could be enhanced by 2% id="M3"> from 900π mm2 1100π mm2; increasing path id="M4"> 12 mm increase 25%. general, present work proposes combustor; has application, but further detailed investigation still needed.
